Pre-Care Instructions

Schedule your appointment at least four weeks before any special event. The toxin takes approximately 4-7 days to take effect, with a few weeks in between to add more to your liking, if necessary.

Avoid medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen two days before treatment to minimize bruising.

It's crucial to avoid any alcohol consumption at least 24 hours before treatment. This responsible action can significantly reduce the risk of bruising, ensuring the best possible outcome for your procedure.

What To Expect At Your Appointment

Together, we will evaluate your face, focusing on the forehead, around the eyebrows, and around the eyes (crow's feet) area.

We will work together to decide which areas should be treated based on your needs. I will recommend the appropriate dosage, which can be adjusted to your preference. I will mark these areas with a white pencil and review them together.

I will prepare multiple syringes with Botox for each treatment area. Some areas may need more than one syringe, but this is purely for you to examine.

I will then administer the Botox into the designated areas and massage it into the muscle.

After the treatment, I will clean off any markings. Some bruising may occur if you experience bleeding in the treated areas. You can apply arnica to help speed up the healing process.

You will see the results later. It takes approximately 4-7 days to start seeing the effects of the Botox.

We will make a follow-up appointment two weeks after your treatment to assess the results of the Botox and possibly add more if you feel it is needed.

Post-Care Instructions

Please avoid touching or manipulating the treated area for at least 3 hours after your treatment. The toxin needs time to spread naturally; touching it can cause it to move to unintended areas.

For the first 3 hours, you can make facial expressions to spread the toxin into the muscles. This isn’t entirely necessary, but you can do so if you’d like.

Results typically start to appear within 4-7 days. If you feel additional areas need treatment or if the initial treatment was insufficient, please schedule another appointment to ensure you are satisfied with your results.

While we can always add more Botox to the treated areas, we cannot remove it once it has been administered. Therefore, we prefer to start with a lower dose. However, remember that the dosage affects the duration; a higher dose will result in longer-lasting effects.

Please don't do any strenuous activities on the day of your treatment.

Please get in touch with our office with any questions or concerns.

Botox – Treatment Instructions

Botox (unabotulinumtoxin-A; a neuromodulator) is a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a purified form of botulinum toxin into specific muscles to temporarily relax them. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes (crow’s feet). The procedure is quick, typically taking only a few minutes, with minimal downtime. Results can be seen within a few days and generally last three to four months, depending on the dose.
